Some curious and annoying Yellow-legged gulls are studying the big armored reptile, maybe they already know that in a few months some of the turtle's offspring would become their meal.

In the background the sun is rising behind the famous "Isola dei Conigli" (Rabbits Island) a partially dethached islet that is bound to Lampedusa when the tide is low.
